Why XLPE power cables are suitable for high temperature apps?
There is no need to tell you about the insulation of wire because all of us are familiar with the insulation technique. We know how much insulation is important for us because this is the only way by which user can reduce the accident cases. Insulation is the popular and oldest way to prevent these types of accidents.
Materials and techniques can be different from each other but the motive is same. Materials like polythene (PE), Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) and other different linkage patterns in the polymers like cross linked polythene (XLPE) are the most common materials used for the insulations. Insulating wires like XLPE power cables are very famous in many fields.

This is very tough to deal these sectors without these particular cables. Sometimes, we have to put the power cables in a high temperature but those cables must have to work properly. If they do not work as they have to do then they are not sufficient for use.
Different polymer chains like polythene are use to cover the metallic wire to give them a strength and protective covering sheet. Cross linkage of polythene create a strong sheet for the wires for different types of purposes. Such types of wires are used in various fields like from housing to the elevators.
They are made up with high resistance powers and the pattern of polymers helps to reduce the chances of melting and separating of the wires. They can efficiently and successfully work on high temperatures.
XLPE power cable is successful for various high temperature applications due to the high dielectric constants. Water treeing characteristic is also included in these cables. Their normal operating temperature is very less like from 90 C to 100 C. but this does not that we can access the temperature, their normal limit is about 250 C.
